After more than 20 years in the field of designing and producing
single-purpose machines and appliances, MTS has grown to almost
300 employees and 3000 sqm of production area. Rebranding had
to fit it’s scale and needs, even to be able to develop further with
the company’s ambition to step into new areas of business.
The brand system consists of patterns made
from abstract shapes depicting appliances,
production processes, and machinery.
Like modular elements, they can be shown
in many unique ways, creating different
patterns with every application and still be
recognizable as a part of complex brand
communication. Even letters in logotype
are connected to form a component which
fits into the system of patterns.
Bold colors take part in allocating company’s parts and creating sub-brand color systems for business and production.
Recently, branding wasn’t playing a huge role in mechanical engineering. Companies were focusing mainly on production and forgetting overall about communication. But MTS is different. It’s modern and precise in details, and it needed to be shown.

My name is Michal Slovák and I am a senior graphic designer
based in Slovak Republic. My specialties are branding and
packaging.
In my 9+ years of experience I have worked with companies from Honduras to California, from New York to Prague, from Bratislava to Melbourne.
My design for LYRA Chocolate has won the Packaging of the Year 2017 Award for the best food packaging design in Czech and Slovak Republic and WorldStar Packaging Award. In 2018, the packaging design for Lyra Chocolate Naša Collection was awarded the Slovak National Design Award. In 2020, I was member of the international jury for Zlin Design Week. As of 2021 my designs have been printed on more than 40 million packages.
